Christmas 2012

Like usual, I was so sad to see Christmas go....
We had such a great Christmas, very low key and relaxing.
I loved, loved, loved all of ths now on Christmas Eve...
it just wasn't the same last year with out it.

Christmas Eve we had a "Waffle Buffet" at our house and then kept with the Patterson family tradition of seeing a movie, Rise of the Guardians.
After wards we went to my mom's and did PJ's and the sibling gift exchange.
Once we got home I gave each of the boys a snow globe, which is a new tradition that I wanted to start.  They love collecting things and I thought a new snow glob each year would be fun.
Then we set the cookies out and off to bed they went.  It didn't take them too long to fall asleep which was nice for Santa.  Dakota is getting to the age where the excitement is almost too much to handle.

Christmas morning the boys woke up about 7:30 and brought their stockings down into our room.
With only 2 kids, the presents were opened pretty quick.

Dakota's big gifts:
Monster Fighter and Ninjago Lego sets
Bronco blanket and Dream Light
Giant Skylanders

Bridger's gifts:
Bat Cave and Batman figures
Angry Bird blanket and Dream Light
more Giant Skylanders!!!

Playing with their long awaited Giant Skylanders!!!

Dakota was more than obsessed with the Denver Broncos this year.
He has never watched a single game, but he likes to collect the stuff.
On Christmas Eve he told the Santa at my mom's house that he wanted a helmet and jersey.
I new that my mom had gotten him one so I was not worried,
but Christmas morning he couldn't believe that Santa hadn't gotten him one.
He was certain it must be hidden behind the tree :-(

By the time we were headed up to my mom's he was a tad bit mad and decided that he didn't even believe in Santa.  He quickly got nervous saying that and decided that he did believe in Santa.... just not the reindeer!
Luckily I had warned my mom and when we arrived there was a a present with a big tag from Santa.
Ironically Santa had left it in the sleigh at my mom's house just for Dakota.

Merry Christmas!!!!
