St. George

Last weekend we headed down for a fun weekend in St. George.
Chantell and her family were also there for Ray's work
so we got to spend some time with them which the boys loved.

We went to Zions one day and had fun hiking and leting the boys play.
The rest of the trip was spent at the pool and relaxing.

Bridger feel asleep on the drive into Zions....

Poor Scott that has to carry all 34lbs of Bridger on his back.

a little crack up....

I have been horrible at blogging the past week...
and we are off to St. George for the weekend,
but here are some funny pics of Bridger...

For some reason he kept pulling down his pants the other night.
Just wanted to show some crack I guess!!!

bringing home the PRIZE!!!!

After 2 strait days of hiking through the High Uintas,
and 2 nights in the freezing cold (the water in his tent actually froze one night),
Scott hiked out his long dreamed about Mountain Goat!!!

I love this picture above....
but what makes it classic is the fact that Scott took it of him self. :)

(Not sure why this picture didn't turn),
but this was the pack that he carried out for 10 hours... by himself.
It was about 55 lbs before he added the goat.

Way to go Scott!!!!!

The Big Hunt!

As we speak, Scott is out backpacking around the Uintas in search of one of these.......

Now I know that you are all green with envy that you don't have the possibility of hanging one of these on your wall,
but that is just one of the perks of being married to a hunter:)
But seriously....
I am torn between my disgust at even the thought of bringing something like that into my house,
& the disappointment that Scott will feel if he does not get one.
His Mountain Goat tag is a once in a life time.
Literally, this is his one and only shot.

For the past week Scott has been like a little boy getting ready for Christmas. Last night he stayed up past midnight packing his stuff and reading up on the big hunt. I even woke up in the middle of the night to find him weighing himself with his backpack on.
When I got up this morning at 5:45 to go running, Scott jumped out of bed and couldn't go back to sleep because he said he was too excited.

I am going to go meet up with him later this weekend and I am actually pretty excited about it. Where we are going you can only get to by backpacking in and the hiking should be fun.
Hopefully he will have already snagged his prize so we can just have fun camping and not worry about the hunting!

Lucky for Scott... he got to have a little helper assist in every step of packing!

The Discovery Gateway

Last week my mom and me took the boys to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway.
I have been wanting to go for awhile, but did not want to go by myself.
So I was thrilled when my mom wanted to go with me.
The boys both had so much fun.... we never even made it off the main level!!!!

The Construction Zone!!! ( Dakota's favorite)

Farm Country
The Grocery Store

The Land of Balls (Bridger's favorite)

Rock Climbing
After as much shopping as is possible with Dakota & Bridger...
Dakota played in the Olympic Water Park!!!

Lucky for me, Bridger fell asleep and I only had to keep track of one child during the water fun!!!
